2024 FREE KIDS' KLUB PROGRAMS


Get Kids Outdoors and Active at Greensboro Downtown Parks!


An essential part of our mission is to nurture a love of nature and healthy lifestyles in young people. That's why we partner with local youth-centered organizations to bring 60+ FREE Kids' Klub programs to the parks each year. These programs transform our parks into vibrant spaces for play, learning, and social growth for our city's youth. They run weekly throughout the parks' busy season: April- November. Make your next family outing an adventure!

ART IN THE PARK WITH GREENHILL

1st Thursdays, April - August* | 11 AM - 1 PM

Lincoln Financial Children's Garden, LeBauer Park


*Art in the Park will meet 7/11 instead of 7/4 because of Independence Day


Join artist-instructors from GreenHill Center for NC Art and tap into your creative side! This hands-on visual arts program is perfect for children ages 2-12, with new and exciting activities each month. Come on out and let the parks inspire your youth to make and create!

CRAFTS AND CONVERSATION WITH UNCG DUCK LAB

Select Saturdays: 3/16, 3/30, 4/13, 4/27, 5/11 | 11 AM - 1 PM

Lincoln Financial Children's Garden, LeBauer Park


On select Saturdays in LeBauer Park, trained research assistants from the DUCK Lab Child Development Research Center at UNCG will guide crafts for children ages 3 to 12. Parents can join too to learn fun facts about crafts that foster age-appropriate skills or learn about the DUCK Lab’s nonprofit child development research projects. Be sure to come out for some educational fun!

DANCE AROUND THE WORLD WITH GREENSBORO BALLET

3rd Saturdays, March 30 - October 19 | 11 AM - 12 PM

Can you jump like a kangaroo? Want to learn to twist your body into a pretzel shape? On select Saturdays of every month, Greensboro Ballet will introduce dance from different cultures around the world. This program is perfect for youth ages 3-8.

HAPPY TEETH WITH GSO CENTER FOR PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

Select Thursdays: 4/18, 4/27, 5/16, 6/20, 7/18, 8/15, 9/19, 10/17 | 11 AM - 11:30 AM*

*On 4/27, Happy Teeth will meet from 3-4 PM during YMCA's Healthy Kids Day


The Greensboro Center for Pediatric Dentistry welcomes preschool-aged youth for fun-filled story time and games designed to build a comfortable and positive foundation for dental care and healthy eating. Youth participants are led through interactive discussion on what habits make teeth “happy” and how to build these practices into their daily routine for a lifetime of oral health!

Join us for Little Lions Saturdays, an exciting program with the Greensboro History Museum designed for preschool and early-elementary schoolers. Each week, embark on a fun-filled journey through Greensboro's history and diverse cultural traditions. From learning about local heroes to celebrating cultural holidays, each program offers a unique theme. Get creative and delve into the rich tapestry of Greensboro’s past with engaging crafts, games, and explorations!

Join the Greensboro Public Library for this family-favorite, interactive program that is perfect for building pre-literacy skills in young children. There will be entertaining short stories and sing-along tunes to get kids excited about reading.
