Life Saving Pet Travel Tips With Megan Blake!

Megan’s Super Life Saving Top 3 Do’s and Don’t’s for Pet Travel

We’re all venturing out a bit more now, and to help, Megan Blake, The Pet Lifestyle Coach®, delivers her Top 3 Do’s and Don'ts for traveling with your best friend!  And all of them could be life savers!  Check out her video with Super Smiley and German Shepherd Dog, Angel, for their travel tip details.

But, for a quick look, here you go...

Do’s

  1. Keep ‘em in the backseat harnessed up

  2. The safest place for them to ride is in a crate that's secured with a tether to the backseat or secured in the SUV's “way back.”

  3. Take breaks every hour for them to walk around and drink water if possible.

Don'ts

  1. Don’t let ‘em ride in the front seat.  A collision could throw them through the windshield or crush them with the airbag.

  2. Don’t let ‘em hang their heads out the window!  They love it, but debris could blind them or worse!  Do you ride with your head out the window?  :)

  3. Never leave them alone in the car unattended.  They could overheat, panic and tear up the car or hurt themselves... Or they could be stolen!
