In this podcast, North Carolina Dance Festival Director, Anne Morris, speaks with Amanda Miller of Greensboro Downtown Parks, as well as muralist Darlene McClinton, and choreographer Alexandra Joy Warren, who all collaborated on the interactive mural in LeBauer Park.
This mural is part of a partnership between Greensboro Downtown Parks, Inc. and Dance Project, Inc. to kickstart the organization's 30th annual North Carolina Dance Festival, which is being held virtually this year. NCDF brings professional modern and contemporary dance choreography from North Carolina artists to audiences across the state.
Tune in to In Process every other week as Festival director Anne Morris and others dive deep into the risk-taking and dance-making that characterize the modern and contemporary dance community in NC. In Process will feature artist interviews, behind-the-scenes insights into the 2020 season, and fun and important conversations about dance and the creative life. Perfect for anyone curious about the who, how, and especially the “why” of dance.

Your Support Means a lot
Like all of our programs at Greensboro Downtown Parks, National Dance Day GSO is free to attend every year. We're proud to put this event on, showcasing the talented performing artists of our local community. Especially this year, when the corona virus pandemic has taken an incredible toll on non-profits like us, artists, and the entire creative sector, we're grateful to have this event as a shining example of what coming together looks like, even when we have to be apart. Support from individuals and sponsor organizations is critical to bolstering the work of the local arts and culture economy. You can lend your support by donating or becoming a Friend of the Park and help us continue to bring free programs to the public.
We especially want to thank generous sponsors for helping us to put this virtual event on this year:
