Calling all preschoolers! Join our partner, GreenHill Center for NC Art for some storytime and art making fun every Masterpiece Friday.
Who's ready to explore the genre of still life? This Masterpiece Friday, Miss Jaymie takes a look at still lifes of painters, Georg Flegel and Bethany Pierce. Then she reads us the story of Mickey's adventures in the bakers’ kitchen as they prepare their morning cake. Lastly, Miss Jaymie takes us through an awesome craft where we can make our own baker’s hat along with an easy playdough recipe!
First, let's look at the artwork of Georg Flegel and Bethany Pierce.
Now let's dive into the story, In The Night Kitchen by Maurice Sendak
Inspired by the story, In the Night Kitchen, we’ll create a baker’s hat along with an easy playdough recipe your little ones can make themselves.:

2 sheets of paper
Scissors
Stapler/tape
Playdough Supplies:

Mixing spoon
1 cup of flour
1/4 cup of salt
