Listen to the wisdom of your body.

Are you:

  • Holding your breath

  • Clenching your jaw

  • Tightening your stomach

  • Feeling resentful

  • Craving certain foods

Each of these are responses to something that is going on in your life, thoughts or emotions.

More importantly, each of these are important cues that your body is delivering to you, telling you that your values are being challenged, your needs are not being met or that you are feeing vulnerable or threatened in some way.

Learn to listen to your body. It holds deep wisdom.

When you notice a physical change or emotional reaction, pay attention. Listen and discover what it is you are reacting to.

To interrupt this response, you may need to set a limit with a loved one, take a break from what you are doing or nurture yourself in a way that is being neglected.

Using the wisdom of your body is an essential self-care strategy that is always there for you, so you can improve your wellness, calm your mind and feel more fulfilled in your life.
